02 March 2010I applied at my credit union for an car loan and they gave me an answer of X amount. If I go straight to a car dealer about car financing/loans, will they give me the same answer of X amount? That being said, is it the same everywhere or do businesses/credit unions/banks each have their own unique judgement?

I want to re-establish my credit, and my attorney said a car loan would be the thing to do, since you can get a car loan fairly easy after bk. What i want to know is who are the companies that will work with you if you’ve had a bk-the ones that will give you a loan and not try and not trick u? Any responses are greatly apprectiated.

16 February 2010I am looking to get a used car and I want to finance it through my bank. How do car loans work? Do I need to find a car first or do I get the money from the bank first? What if I get a loan for 12k and I find a car that is 10k – do I need to give back the extra 2k?
